Programme Areas

AWIF continental strategic priorities are to strengthen the women’s voice, impact and influence of women’s rights advocates to effectively advance the rights of women, by consolidating and strengthen the women’s organizations and groups, build solidarity and develop common strategies and action for change. To ensure the institutional and organisational development of AWIF so that it can be effective in influencing policies and development for the benefit of African women and men.

These strategies are implemented in coordination with United Nations system agencies, African Union Gender Directorate and AWIF partners. AWIF facilitates dialogues and consensus globally.
